Thr3efold — Ethical Manufacturing Platform

The challenge

Brands that want their products made ethically face a sourcing problem: finding factories that are genuinely certified, and verifying that claim before committing to production. THR3EFOLD set out to make that discovery process work as a platform rather than as private introductions and manual vetting.

What we built

We built THR3EFOLD's web application from scratch — a digital platform for ethical manufacturing, where brands and manufacturers find ethically certified factories to produce their products. The application had no existing codebase to extend, so the architecture, data model and interface were designed from the ground up around how sourcing actually works.

Acting as their technical team

The engagement did not end at launch. BitsWare has worked with THR3EFOLD since 2018 on a continuing basis, resolving bugs and updating operations as the platform evolves. In practice we act as their technical team rather than as a vendor delivering a fixed scope — the same engineers who built the platform still maintain it, so nothing has to be rediscovered each time a change is needed.
